Onyx is a natural stone that is permanently dyed deep black.

Onyx is found in United States, Italy, Mexico, Russia, Brazil and South Africa.

Onyx is most commonly dyed black but is dyed in other colors like green and can be seen in its natural blends of opaque and translucent colors of earth tones.

Healing Properties

Onyx is strength giving. It provides support in difficult or confusing times. Psychologically, Onyx recognizes and integrates dualities within the self. It anchors the flighty into a more stable way of life and generally imparts self control. Onyx is a mental tonic that alleviates overwhelming fears and worries. Onyx conveys the invaluable gift of wise decisions. Onyx is beneficial for teeth, bones, bone marrow, blood disorders and the feet.

Proper Care

Black Onyx should be wiped clean with a soft, moist cloth. Do Not use ultrasonic cleaners, ammonia or soap.

Scientific Notes

Onyx is a tyupe of microcrystalline quartz, formed in gas pockets of lava. Onyx is multi-layered. A black base and white top layer is referred to as Onyx. Sard-onyx has a brown base and Carnelian-onyx has a red base. A stone with a uniform black appearance is Black Onyx.  Typically black onyx is chemically treated gray chalcedony that produces a very rich black stone.  Black Onyx has a Moh's rating oif 6.5 to 7, making it a durable stone and a favorite for use in fine quality jewelry.

Blood Stone Jasper is a natural stone.

Blood Stone Jasper is a blend of forest green hues with deep red backgrounds and is a very beautiful stone.

Blood Stone Jasper is found worldwide but has major deposits in South Africa.

Healing Properties

Physically, it is said to strengthen veins, tone the heart and fortify the blood-all things that contribute to a long, healthy life. Psychologically, Jasper imparts determination to all pursuits. It brings the courage to get to grips with problems assertively, and encourages honesty with yourself. Jasper supports the circulatory, digestive and sexual organs.

Proper Care

Blood Stone Jasper is treated for a high polish finish and should not be exposed to water. Protect it from scratches and sharp blows. Do not expose to any type of chemical. Wipe clean with a soft cloth.

Blue Agate is permanently dyed, varies in shades from ice to a deep royal blue.

Agate comes in a great verity of colors from Clear or milky white, grey, blue, green, pink, brown and any dyed color out there.

Agate is found in United States, India, Morocco, Czech Republic, Brazil and Africa.
