Carnelian

Carnelian pronounced (car NEE lee an) is a natural stone from the quartz group that is dyed and heat treated.

Carnelian comes in light to brilliant bright orange that is semi-transparent.

Carnelian is found in India, Brazil and Uruguay.


Healing Properties

Quartz is the most powerful healing and energy amplifier on the planet. Carnelian has been worn in cameos in the belief that it will ward off insanity and depression. Proper Care

Keep Carnelian away from heat, as it may cause a color change in the stone. Do not expose to acids. Occasionally polish gently with a soft cloth.

Citrine                                                                                     Citrine

Citrine is a natural stone of the quartz family and is comparatively rare; dyed and heat treated amethyst is used most commonly as Citrine and is less expensive and is just as beautiful.

Citrine is Translucent yellow to golden yellow or smoky gray in color. It was known as the sun stone in earlier times.

Citrine is found in United States, Russia, France, Madagascar, Great Britain, Spain and Brazil.


Healing Properties

Citrine is thought to have a positive influence that can relieve backache, and combat depression and problems with the liver, spleen, digestive system and the bladder. Some believe that the gemstone can help promote prosperity. Psychologically, Citrine raises self esteem and self confidence. Mentally, Citrine enhances concentration and revitalizes the mind. Emotionally, Citrine promotes joy in life. Physically, Citrine imparts energy and invigoration to the physical body.

Proprer Care

Do not leave Citrine in the sun or exposed to high heat as the color could fade. Clean with mild soap and water with a soft brush. Dry thoroughly. An Ultrasonic cleaner is OK, but Do Not use a steam cleaner.

Citrine is a Macrocrystalline form of quartz. Natural citrine is very rare. The name Citrine is based on "citrus" due to is pale yellow color from its iron content. Most available citrine is heat-treated amethyst or somky quartz.  It has a Moh's rating of 7 and is often featured in fine quality jewelry.

Coral is the tentacle skeletal remains of the creature that lived inside.

Coral is permanently dyed a warm pink or deep red.

Coral comes from the sea.

Healing Properties

Coral is a tentacled skeletal creature with microscopic plants living inside its soft tissues. When it reproduces, the new life forms remain attached to their "parents," building reefs and atolls-a polyp living in clear, warm seawaters. Proper Care

Always apply make-up,  perfume or hairspray before putting on coral jewelry. Wipe with a clean, damp cloth and allow to air dry before storing. Keep Coral jewelry in individual bags or a cloth-lined box and keep away from other jewelry pieces to prevent scratching.
